Besides the Means of Death, What's the Problem?

As you know, I just got back to writing in my blog. I decided I needed to back track and cover some topics I missed while I was away. So let’s talk about Michael Vick.

First off, let me make this clear, I do not agree with the means they went about killing the dogs. For this I hold them accountable, but for nothing more or nothing less. So what if they had dog fights. Let me explain.
One thing, hundreds of thousands of animals are killed in shelters every day. Like I said, I do not agree with the brutal way they killed them, but animals are killed every day.

Second off, I do not know about your state, but they are cracking down on pit bulls. Pit bulls are the ones that were killed, used for fighting and what not. In my area, you are not even allowed to adopt pit bulls from shelters. Most these shelters have a hundred dogs, and most are unadoptable pits. They are put down in huge numbers more than any other breed. So what’s the problem? You do not want pit bulls anyway, and kill them, why not let them fight?

To argue this question, there are cock fights. Why not make a big deal of all these back wood rednecks having cock fights, why just the black men that is fighting dogs. When did dogs become more important than chickens? Is it because we eat chicken and not dog like the Chinese? I mean, animal rights groups swear they love ALL animals, so where’s the fight for the chickens? Where’s the fight for the tuna fish, when you are saving dolphins? Can we have some consistency? Nope, just the black man with some dogs that no one wants around, and that the shelters kill everyday! What’s the problem?

I just want a little consistency in people’s views, actions, and what they perceive that’s right and wrong. I have seen people die after a boxing match, but we let humans fight. Oh, because we are smarter than animals right? Really? We do not show it with these stupid laws and rules. If you do not like the dogs and kill them anyway, let them fight. Or start arresting cock fighters. Stop killing all the pits in the shelter. Start treating every animal and every person the same. A little consistency please! Punish Vick for the cruelty of killing them, like the drowning and electrocuting, but let him go for some meaningless dog fights between dogs you ANIMAL LOVERS despise. Geesh!
