From 2009
Here we go again. Over and over again, the same card is always played. No, I am not talking about poker; I am talking about the RACE card. The same card that seems to get played all the time.
Look, I understand there are racist people. I understand some situations that come up are racially motivated. But NOT ALL ARE.
If you haven’t seen, Ryan Moats, a backup running back for the Houston Texans was recently stopped for running a red light on the way to see how Mother In Law before she passed away at a hospital. Instead of telling you the whole story, you can see the videos on YouTube from the police camera. Here’s the link. Check it out, and come back.

Now, Moats and others are calling this racially motivated, and they want the cop’s job. This is a bunch of bullshit.
First off, he ran a red light. Then, after the cop is flashing behind him, he continues to drive for quite awhile without stopping, even sliding through a couple stop signs. Finally when he does pull into the hospital, all of the occupants jump out of the car.
Now, let’s break down this down. Run a red light, cop is going to pull you over. This is standard. You keep running, maybe not to get away, but how does the cop know that? The cop has no idea the situation what so ever. Then, when they finally pull over all of the occupants jump out of the car. It is standard for a policeman to pull out his weapon in this situation. Once again, he does not know the story. It has nothing to do with black or white, he would do the same to a vehicle with white occupants in the same situations.
Now, when they are out of the car, he ends up not stopping the wife and another woman from going in, but he keeps Moats behind. Once again, the officer is not sure what is going on. How could he? Moats I understand is fully upset because of the situation, and has every reason to be. But, once again, the cop is just doing his job.
The more Moats has attitude, the longer its taking the officer, and the more he is not going to get his way here. Officers see this same behavior all the time, and its procedure in all the events so far to keep Moats here at the car. Moats continues to be uncooperative, so more time goes by and less is being found or solved, and only fueling the whole situation. The cop is clueless to the real circumstances that are going on, and Moats should know this.
Now, when the nurse comes out and he gets another police officer to confirm the mother is inside, he should let him go. He does say that he is almost done. I do not agree with the ticket being given to him, and I don’t think it would have been if Moats would have cooperated in a better manner. To be honest, as far as after the women go inside, I think both could have handled it better.
Anyway, the cop is only doing his job. Once again, he is clueless to the situation, and is following procedure. He has to protect the community and himself at all times. That is what he is sworn to do. What if they were criminals, or car jackers, or whatever? And I am not making that assumption because they are black; they could have easily been white. The way the events played out, running the light, not pulling over, and then all jumping out of the car, the police had every reason to pull his gun and be cautious.
So once again, the race cards played. Now, there are piece of shit black people and white people, hell, every race. This does not mean they are all bad, or all good. The policeman does not know, and has to err to the side of caution in ALL cases. What if it was a black cop and white passengers in the vehicle? The same procedure would have gone down without question.
So, why is it always whites against blacks? There are as many black racists as whites, so why do blacks get away with screaming race when we cannot? Black comedians call us cracker and make fun of our race, but if we point fun back or use a racist term (Yes cracker is racist), then we are shunned and ridiculed forever.
If blacks, or any other races for that matter want things to truly be equal, then it works on both ends. What’s good for the goose is good for the gander. Maybe point the finger back at yourselves for once. It takes ALL races for this to go away, and one cannot have one up on another. Reverse racism is as rampant as any other, so why are we the bad guys? I wasn’t there in the 1700s was I? I didn’t own a cotton field, nor have slaves. I didn’t beat Rodney King (who by the way was high off his ass swinging at cops, once again, look at the finer pointing). So why is it always this way?
There are white cops who are racist and even black cops who are racist. Trust me, I was strangled by one, but I am not crying am I. I am not yelling RACISM! Not everyone is like the few you are really after, matter of fact; it’s few and far between. So, let’s toss that RACE CARD in the muck and leave it alone. You can’t play it EVERY TIME and expect to be correct. The more you use it, the least amount of validity it has.
The cop did his job, and we should be happy to have them here to protect and serve. No matter of race, any cop would have done the same not knowing the bigger situation. So give me a break with this shit, and CANT WE ALL JUST GET ALONG? (Once again, he was high attacking cops) Think before you play the card, it’s not always the case.
