What's Good for the Goose, is Good for the Gander

From 2007

Well, it has been awhile since I graced my blog with another entry for your reading pleasure. I felt it was time after being so busy (maybe lazy) to come put in a few entries. I knew exactly what I wanted to discuss as soon as I popped back in, and that is the Don Imus outrage.

First off, I think it is bullshit! I am in no way condoning being a racist, or making racial remarks or jokes, or what have you. All my best friends growing up were African American, and I do not have a racist bone in my body. But, where is the line drawn in today's society?

Imus cannot call women’s basketball team nappy headed hoes, but the black comedians can call me a honky, and make fun of the way I dance, and so on and so on. (By the way, I can dance, so there fuckers) Is this not calling the kettle black? Is what's good for the goose, not good for the gander? I guess not.
This is the same thing with rap music. It is my favorite music as a matter of fact, but do they not call the women hoes and bitches? So since they are black, it’s ok? Basically what it has come to in our society is if you are black you can say whatever you want. If you're white on the other hand, you cannot say shit or you will lose your job, get killed, get your ass kicked, or whatever. It is bullshit.

I am in no way condoning racism of any kind. The point is though; I am not condoning reverse racism. Jokes are jokes. I laugh at black ones, I laugh at white ones. Shit, I even laugh at alien ones and ones about the handicapped. They are all funny, they are jokes. There is a joke about everybody and everything. Get over it! If you can't, then I want to protest the jokes about white people and throw a big old hissy fit about it, and march, and riot, and whatever else I feel like doing about it.

Can't we all just get along? HAHA See that was a joke in itself, a black joke if you read into it. Thanks Rodney for those words, now go smoke some more crack. What, did that offend you?? Funny thing is you know it’s true. He was a drugged out piece of shit. I do not condone the beating of him at all, and those cops should have been thrown in prison for their actions, but he is what he is. Damn it, I am off the subject.

The point is, it’s all the same. Black makes fun of us, but when white people make a crack back were racists. Can't you see the hypocritical side of that? Why are you not racists for calling me a cracker or honky, even if it’s a joke or on a show? Should I be all pissed off? You know what; I do not give a shit. I have more self confidence then to let that shit bother me.

Yes, African Americans have gone through shit for 400 years. They have been treated unfairly by some over the years. I attest to that because I have seen it. Here is my beef though. African Americans always say they want equality, and I am the first one to be all for that. But with equality, comes everything. Equal in all areas! So you make fun of us, we will make fun of you and vice versa. They are jokes, big fucking deal. Let’s just all laugh and have fun and live life. Why do people have to get so bent out of shape all the time over some petty ass shit? It doesn't make sense to me.

So on that final note, let’s begin this equality right now and break the ice between all of us. Have you heard the one about the black guy who walked into the KKK rally? The KKK members asked him if he wanted to "hang." HAHAHA, it’s a fucking joke! Come rally against me, as I am sitting here with my good friend Chuck who is African American, drinking some Hennessey and laughing at all this stupidity. Grow up, and find something better to do. We are all equals, we all laugh, and we all have a good time. No need to get in an uproar every time there is a little joke said. Now if he had said the N word, then we would all kicks his fucking old ass! I'd be there with you!
